FRED L. SANFILIPO, DC, DACBO
Dr. Fred SanFilipo is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He obtained his Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) and continued his postgraduate studies in orthopedics at National College of Chiropractic, after which he attained board Certification in Chiropractic Orthopedics (currently renamed International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine).
Dr. Fred has received specialized training from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and is certified in the management of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, and Whiplash associated disorders. He has also obtained postgraduate training at NYCC and is certified for the management of soft tissue disorders using the ConnecTX Technique. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and is a fellow of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
Dr. Fred was previously an adjunct staff member at Community College of the Finger Lakes where he taught Human Anatomy and Physiology. He also held a post as an Adjunctive Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at NYCC, (currently Northeast College of Health Sciences) where he had taught for over 25 years. Besides being in clinic practice for over 45 years, he is an examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is an exam writer for the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. He has served as a volunteer clinician at the Mercy Outreach Health Center and St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center rendering care for the uninsured and under insured of the Greater Rochester Area.
He is a providing panel member of several insurance companies including Medicare, Excellus/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care and MVP.
Dr. Fred and his wife, Michelle, have been married for over 40 years and have 4 grown children, and 9 grandchildren. Dr. Fred's interests include primitive/antique firearms, gardening, avid outdoorsman, and enjoys time spent with his grandchildren.
